What we collect

Account details you give us directly — your name, email and whatever you put on your card — and, if you allow it, anonymous scan data (a view, a tap, a click) about how your card is used.

If someone leaves their details through your card's share-back form, that's their information, held on your behalf, and it's kept separately from anonymous scan data.

Why we process it

To run the card you asked for: show it at your handle, let people save your details, and show you who's been in touch with it.

Your rights under POPIA

As a South African product, Umbel processes personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and what's attached to it.

Sharing

We don't sell personal information. It's shared only with the processors that make the product work — hosting, email delivery and payment — and only as far as each of those needs.
